Demography and Nutrition of Pronghorn

Ph.D. Research at Oklahoma State University

Research Outline

Recent surveys suggest pronghorn populations are declining in western Oklahoma. However, it is unclear whether this decline is due to predation, resource availability, dispersal, or other factors. In conjunction with researchers from Texas A&M University, East Central University, and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, the Chitwood, Fairbanks, and Lonsinger labs are monitoring pronghorn populations to better understand population dynamics in Oklahoma.

My current work includes 1) investigating diet quality, 2) monitoring survival, and 3) creating an integrated population model.
